NUI Maynooth Library Festival 2011

Day 1 - Tuesday 25th January 11am

Launch of the festival and exhibition of publications

Welcome by Cathal McCauley, University Librarian

Opening address by the President, NUI Maynooth, Professor Tom Collins

Address by Right Reverend Monsignor Hugh G Connolly, President,  St Patrick’s College, Maynooth

Address and launch of Irish in Europe – Virtual Research Environment (IRCHSS funded) by Dr. Thomas O’Connor, Dean of Faculty of Arts,

Celtic Studies and Philosophy, NUI Maynooth

Address and local launch of RIAN byProfessor Ray O’Neill, Vice President for Research, NUI Maynooth

Refreshments will be served

 

Day 1– Tuesday 25th January

Guest Lecture: Assessing research activity and quality: current perspectives from the Arts and Humanities in Ireland

Tour of the Russell Library, with an array of exhibitions, and a visit to the Conservation Unit
