This week is Open Access week and the Library would like to remind you just how important OA really is. Not only is it often mandatory under research funding, but it has been shown to have a highly beneficial effect on the number of times your research will be consulted and cited. Plus – it’s easy, simply contact us to submit your article or thesis into the NUI Maynooth Institutional Repository.
What better time to announce a set of National Principles for Open Access than during Open Access Week? Research and Innovation Minister Sean Sherlock made the landmark announcement today. Remember to contact us if you have any queries about your research and OA.
For more information, check out our Open Access page or take a look at this bird’s eye view on Youtube.
