All study desks are located on levels 2 and 3. There are both single and multi-user desks.
These desks can be reserved for 30 minutes, by using the forms available on levels 2 and 3. They are located just inside the doors to the left as you approach each floor from the stairs.
There are 10 desks on level 2 which can be reserved electronically. To reserve a desk using this system, press the red button located on the wall beside each desk. The light will flash for 30 minutes after which another user is entitled to use the desk if the original occupant has not returned.
The Laptop and Group Study Area on level 1 facilitates a variety of activities, the main ones being group study and the use of library laptops. In addition, the daily newspapers and a select number of current Periodicals are available for reading. The Careers Collection can be consulted here and some material from this collection may be borrowed. The bottled water dispenser is also located in this area.
The multimedia area is located on level 1. It holds some PCs and all the printing and photocopying facilities, in addition to the microfilm/fiche reader printers. The Copy Centre is also located here.

Seminar Room 1 is located on level 2 and is used for library skills training.
The AV Listening Room is located opposite the Audio Visual Collection on level 3. It contains VCR/DVD/CD/Cassette players. Please use the headphones provided to minimise interference to other users as this room is not sound-proofed.
