Library of Latin Texts (CLCLT)

The world's leading database for Latin texts. Oxford Classical Dictionary

The electronic edition of the Oxford Classical Dictionary is based on the 3rd edition (1996) edited by Simon Hornblower and Antony Spawforth. The OCD contains over 6,000 contributions with over 800 new entries written by an international team of 364 scholars. Many entries are cross-referenced by the use of hyperlinks directing readers to other entries in the dictionary.

Oxford Reference Online: Premium Collection

This is a database of language and subject reference works from Oxford University Press available as a single cross-searchable resource. It includes maps, illustrations and various subject timelines. The Library subscribes to the ‘Premium’ collection. A lock icon indicates that an item is not available. Oxford Reference is updated regularly.

SCOPUS

The Library and the Research Office jointly purchased SCOPUS. This is the largest abstract and citation database containing both peer-reviewed research literature and quality web sources. With over 18,000 titles from more than 5,000 publishers, Scopus offers researchers a quick, easy and comprehensive resource to support their research needs in the scientific, technical, medical and social sciences fields and, more recently, also in the arts and humanities.

TOCS-IN

Provides the tables of contents of a selection of Classics, Near Eastern Studies, and Religion journals. Where possible, links are given with articles of which the full text or an abstract is available online (about 15%). The project began in 1992, and now contains ca 185 journals, and over 45,000 articles, in a database at Toronto and a mirror site in Louvain.
