Consists of digitised Irish news publications from 1763 onwards. SciVal ® Strata is a visualization tool that helps users track team and individual research performance across a flexible spectrum of benchmarks and measures. Data is from the Scopus (Elsevier) dataset. It is the largest citation database available – to provide customizable views into crucial areas of research performance.
You are not restricted to your institution – you can import any researcher that is captured within Scopus.
Access requires you to register with the databases or use your (if you've set one up !) Scopus account details. The Library also has access to SciVal Spotlight which is a customized web-based tool that enables research institutions to evaluate their research performance and establish research strategies. PrePrint Network	PrePrint Network is a searchable gateway to preprint servers that deal with scientific and technical disciplines. The PrePrint Network provides access to electronic preprints available from diverse sites. Developed by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), the Network is a "one-stop shopping" site for preprints in science and technology.
Public Library of Science (PLoS)	PLoS is a nonprofit organization of scientists. Their mission is to make the world's scientific and medical literature a public resource. They are accepting submissions for PLoS Biology as of May 1, 2003. The first issue is planned for October 2003. PLos Publications plans to expand into other fields in the future.
