All articles from The Economist print edition are published and the online archive dates back to June 1997. There is also a variety of web-only content, including blogs, debates and audio/video programmes.

Showcases the research output of staff and postgraduate students of NUI Maynooth and St Patrick's College Maynooth.

Index to Theses

Provides abstracts of postgraduate theses accepted by universities in Great Britain and Ireland since 1716. Irish theses now have their own collection and this collection can be searched separately by clicking on Irish Theses from the Index to Theses homepage.

Irish Newspaper Archive

Consists of digitised Irish news publications from 1763 onwards. It currently includes: the Freeman's Journal, Irish Independent, Sunday Independent, Irish Farmers Journal and some regional newspapers. Some of these titles are incomplete but further digitisation of these titles and the addition of new titles is ongoing.

LexisNexis - News & Business

Contains over 34,000 full-text sources including 12,000 news sources (eg. the Irish Times, Sunday Business Post, Business & Finance, Financial Times;) and a huge range of company, financial and industry sources.

Library of Latin Texts (CLCLT)

The world's leading database for Latin texts. It contains 2800 works that are attributed to approximately 860 authors from the beginning of Latin literature (Livius Andronicus, 240 BC) through to the texts of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965). n.b. after clicking on the link you then have to click on 'enter databases' and the select the required database

Oxford Classical Dictionary

The electronic edition of the Oxford Classical Dictionary is based on the 3rd edition (1996) edited by Simon Hornblower and Antony Spawforth. The OCD contains over 6,000 contributions with over 800 new entries written by an international team of 364 scholars. Many entries are cross-referenced by the use of hyperlinks directing readers to other entries in the dictionary.

Oxford Reference Online: Premium Collection

This is a database of language and subject reference works from Oxford University Press available as a single cross-searchable resource. It includes maps, illustrations and various subject timelines. The Library subscribes to the ‘Premium’ collection. A lock icon indicates that an item is not available. Oxford Reference is updated regularly.

Magazine coverage includes full text of publications such as New Statesman, PC Magazine, National Geographic, and many more. Irish Statute Book	The electronic Irish Statute Book (eISB) includes full texts of the Acts of the Oireachtas, Statutory Instruments from 1922 onwards, with some pre-1922 also. It also includes the Legislation Directory.
